Preparing Presentations

Oral Presentations: The workshop will be organized along two days of lecturing (20 minutes for invited lextures and 15 minutes for contributed presentations) discussion (5 minutes), and a poster session on October 19, 17:45-19:45. In order to guarantee punctual organisation of the entire programme, all speakers are requested to stick to their allocated presentation times.

The session room will equipped with a computer, a data projector and a laser pointer. The computer in the session room will be a Windows 7 based PC with Microsoft PowerPoint 2010.
All PowerPoint slides and other files for oral presentations must be uploaded in advance to the computer in the session room.

Apple Macintosh Users: Unfortunately, we have no possibility to provide an Apple computer in the session room. Speakers are requested to carefully check their PowerPoint, or pdf files before the presentation.

    Acceptable formats for presentations:
      PowerPoint (.ppt and .pptx)
      Adobe Acrobat (.pdf)

The following media formats will be accepted:
      USB Flash Memory Drive
      DVD+-R CD-R
      CD-RW

    Poster Presentations: Size and Layout
Poster board dimensions are 150 cm high and 120 cm wide. Posters should not exceed this maximum size. We recommend a poster size of A0 (118.9 cm x 84.1 cm) as this will fit within the poster boards in the portrait layout. You do not have to stick to these exact sizes, any size between the poster board size and A1 is acceptable, as long as it fits within the dimensions of the poster boards, and is not overlapping the next board.
